What I love about November...
When November arrives, I experience a sense of peace. It's a period to unwind and enjoy a warm cup of tea with a good book. I store away the Halloween decorations and bring out my Thanksgiving decor, looking forward to a delightful family gathering.

Many individuals bypass November decorations and jump straight into Christmas. This is evident as most malls and stores don't display Thanksgiving decor in November; when they do, it's typically in October. I believe this is because Thanksgiving is a holiday when most family members can visit, and they want to enjoy the Christmas decorations they remember from their childhood. Once people have their own families, they prefer to stay home for Christmas to cherish the magic of the day with their children.
My November decorations hold a special place for me, and I've managed to acquire some truly beautiful ones. During October, I cut my Strawberry & Cream Hydrangeas, which transform into a stunning deep pink and raspberry hue. Trim the long stems of your Hydrangeas and keep them upright in a dry spot to use in Thanksgiving arrangements.
In my kitchen, I showcase my cookbook titled "A Thanksgiving Dinner." During November, I incorporate a touch of Christmas by burning pine-scented candles and using pine-scented countertop cleaner. I adore the seasonal aromas of Mrs. Meyer's Clean Day Iowa Pine scent. I save any leftover sprays after Christmas, as they are typically unavailable in stores until late November. You can also embrace November with dishtowels in seasonal colors. Enjoying the seasonal transitions in Michigan, I update my home decor from Halloween to November, opting for a more natural beige linen or burlap. My chandelier shades, pillow covers, and placemats reflect this color and texture. My front porch also embraces these November vibes with orange and brown plaid rugs and bench pillows featuring fall leaves. I decorate my hand sanitizers with seasonal vinyl window stickers and my antibacterial wipes with seasonal stick-on wallpaper. I like to keep these items in my laundry room, kitchen, and bathrooms to match the room decor.
One of the standout features of my Thanksgiving decor is my collection of Thanksgiving carolers. Over the years, I've gathered them from estate sales and antique shops. These carolers are both pricey and rare. In 2025, I crafted a backdrop for them using a Build-A-Bear box.
This year, I launched a business offering distinctive front porch and planter displays for others. I've been decorating my own front porch and planters for years to showcase the beauty of each season, and I enjoy it so much that I turned it into a business.
