Welcome to April 2025

Volume 1 | Issue 1 | April 2025

What I love about April…

When April comes around, spring is truly in full bloom! It's the perfect time to divide perennials and start planting new gardens!

Plant spring bulbs already in bloom

As April arrives, you can start planting even more cold-hardy spring flowers. Purchase spring bulbs that are already blooming and plant them for early color in your gardens. This month, I decided to rearrange my gardens and start a new sun garden. I removed overgrown boxwood and crimson barberry bushes to create space for new gardens! It's also an ideal time to divide certain perennials. I took out my overgrown Dutch Iris and transplanted eight new plants throughout all of my gardens. Indoors, there's plenty to do to bring spring inside! Cover throw pillows with holiday and spring themes and create unique lampshades to reflect the season. Check out my YouTube page for demonstration videos: "Birth of a Sun Garden" & "How to Split Perennials" and more!
