What I love about February...
When February arrives, I like to add touches of pink pastels to my home. Especially pink tulips! Signs of spring bring the return of the robins and snowdrops push their way through the snowy ground, signaling that spring is right around the corner. The sun is higher in the sky and once in a while, we get a warm sunny day! When this happens in Michigan, you’ll see kids in shorts and couples driving around in convertibles with the top down. It may only be 50 degrees but the sun is shining! The best thing about having four seasons in Michigan is that it brings CHANGE four times a year. I embrace change in my home. I like to celebrate the arrival of each month with special colors, activities, meals and seasonal outdoor arrangements in my entry urns.
February Activities
• Celebrate Valentine's Day at your favorite restaurant
• Make heart shaped cookies and cakes
• Bring spring scents into your home with fresh countertop cleaners like Lilac and Daisy (see my favorites in my e-book)
• Continue to walk outdoors-especially on a sunny day
• Make a Valentine’s wreath
• Change throw pillow covers to a Valentine's day theme.
• Build arrangements in you outdoor urns with artificial floral stems in bright pinks and greens. (see how to make artificial arrangements coming soon)
• Cover hand sanitizers with Valentine's Day stickers or window vinyls
• Cover antibacterial wipes containers with stick on wallpaper with a spring theme
